Recently the launch of a satellite introduced by National Aeronautics and Space Administration was scheduled. This satellite was designed to track carbon dioxide emissions worldwide. This observatory was NASA’s first attempt in trying out the design of carbon monitoring satellite on a global scale. Data collected from the $280 million mission were eagerly expected to improve the climate models. It could also help researchers to determine where the greenhouse gas is coming from and how much is being absorbed by the forest and oceans. This is mainly designed for environment protection. But unfortunately there were some technical problem while launching this satellite. This error actually happened shortly after its pre-dawn takeoff. The actual problem was that the payload fairing failed to separate properly from the spacecraft after it left the atmosphere. Thus because of the unsuccessful launch the NASA scientists felt that it would be better to plan the launch after some more modifications. The proper launch is expected to take place very shortly

Drug addiction has become a big problem not only in India but also in many other countries of the world. More and more young people all over the world are falling prey to this deathtrap. Once a young person takes to a drug (charas, ganja, cocaine, heroin etc.) it is often very difficult for him to get out of this habit. He not only ruins his own health, but ruins his own family also, especially if he is an earner. There are many causes for the spread of this menace. In the present day civilization much undue stress is laid on competition, rather cut-throat competition. Some who can’t bear this stress take to drugs. Then there are broken unhappy homes; their children fall an easy prey. The greatest culprits are the drug traffickers who for their nefarious profits encourage youth to this evil. There is a great need to face this devil on a war-footing. Death penalty should be imposed on anyone found guilty of possessing a specified quantity of the narcotic drugs or found guilty of selling and distributing it. This has been very successfully done in Singapore and many other Asian countries. There should not be half-hearted measures with loopholes for criminals to get away without punishment. It is surprising that in some countries even the politicians are in league with the drug traffickers. They are the greatest enemies of humanity.
